Poi Dog Rescue, of Bellingham Washington is focused on rescue of dogs from overcrowded shelters both locally in Washington and Hawaii.
How it works
After receiving spay/neuter, microchip, all necessary medical care from the shelter some dogs are available for transfer into our rescue to alleviate shelter overcrowding there. We take in dogs we can house with current amount of foster homes available to receive a dog.
Fosters receive the dog, help them adapt to life outside the shelter in a loving home. Then a loving forever home is found for each rescue after they’ve been seen by our vet and are cleared for adoption. Recently Adopted
